Smithtown High School Student starts Curvy Girls support group.

Fitting in isn't easy when you are 11 and have to wear a body brace 22/7. That is why 4 years ago i started Curvy Girls-- a support group for kids with scoliosis. We hold monthly meetings at my house and offer phone and online support, as well as post- surgery hospital visits, and my favorite- shopping consultation for brace wear!  Our group helps kids not feel alone and shows them they too can make a difference."

Temple Grandin, diagnosed with autism as a child, talks about how her mind works -- sharing her ability to "think in pictures," which helps her solve problems that neurotypical brains might miss. She makes the case that the world needs people on the autism spectrum: visual thinkers, pattern thinkers, verbal thinkers, and all kinds of smart geeky kids.

I first opened my travel agency in 2006, what drew me to this field was a passion for traveling and helping others plan their vacations.  In August 2009 I became a Cruise Planners Specialist, an independently owned and operated franchise of Cruise Planners/American Express. This affiliation allows me to provide my clients with the personal customer service of a small boutique agency with the resources of a national company.

Cruising has become one of the most exciting, popular and valuable forms of travel. Whether you are celebrating a milestone birthday, wedding/honeymoon, family reunion or just want to get away with loved ones, I can assist you in planning the perfect vacation. Cruising is a very accessible way to travel and helping those with special needs is one of my specialties. I believe everyone deserves a great vacation.  Cruise Planners not only specializes in cruises but we also offer great land and tour vacations.

Also, I am an Executive PTA Board Member for Dogwood Elementary School, and the Dogwood Representative to the Smithtown Children’s Foundation.  I feel very fortunate to live in this community amongst so many inspiring women.

SmithtownMomstown is a great place to see what is happening and stay connected in our community. I strongly believe in giving back to this great community that we live in. This is shown in how I run my business; I am always involved in fundraising programs to benefit local charities. Currently I am working with Smithtown Children’s Foundation and LI2DAY on fundraisers.

To start planning your next “Bon Voyage” please contact me at your convenience.
