At about 7pm a man came to our door dressed like technician of some sort- wearing a yellow hard hat, wearing a quite visible large indentification badge around his neck, carrying relevant looking papers, etc.  My husband opened the door and he proceeded to tell us that he was from an oil company? Although after his lengthy explanation, we still didnt quite understand what his purpose was.  He said he didnt have to come in, but wanted my husband to get some sort of statement or bill.  We didn't (had a bad feeling about it) and asked for a business card.  He didnt have one and we asked where we could call to verify and he pointed to his hat.  Anyway, he left, thank goodness.

The next day I got a message from our management company (we live in a townhouse community) explaining that there were reports of 2 men and 1 woman doing just what this man had done the night before.  The cops had been called and they said that these people were most likely looking to do a possible home invasion.  They are very prevalent in the area now!! and/or "casing" the homes..etc..needless to say, we are very concerned. please be aware of this in the neighborhood and share this info..thanks so much and be safe :)
