For the third time in five years, the Nesaquake Middle School Trivia Team took first place in the Middle School Division of the Suffolk County United Cerebral Palsy Trivia Contest. James Burke, John Dervan, Max Green, Gabriel Lebow, Philip Massaro, Drew Schimpf, Jonathan Wagner and Michael Zhang did an excellent job of answering the numerous questions posed to them. They showed their knowledge in many fields including, science, measurement, geography, literature, sports and popular culture. The team was coached by Mrs. Libby Kahn. Not only did they have an opportunity to take part in the contest, but the students of Nesaquake showed their caring and sense of community by raising over $1,400 to benefit children and adults with disabilities, who are served by UCP. All the money raised by the students goes towards the purchase of specialized toys, classroom play equipment, physical therapy sessions, power wheelchair training and much more.
